OJ EPO 2015, A84 - Decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 1 October 2015 fixing the amount of the fee for validating European patent applications and patents in the Republic of Moldova

The President of the European Patent Office,

Having regard to the agreement signed on 16 October 2013 between the Republic of Moldova and the European Patent Organisation on the validation of European patents,

Having regard to Law No. 160 amending and supplementing Law No. 50-XVI of 7 March 2008 on the Protection of Inventions, adopted on 30 July 2015 and published on 18 September 2015 in the Republic of Moldova's Official Gazette No. 258-261,

Having consulted the Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova,

Has decided as follows:

Article 1

The fee[ 1 ] for validating European patent applications and patents in the Republic of Moldova is fixed at EUR 200.

Article 2

If the validation fee is paid late, an administrative surcharge[ 2 ] of 50% of the amount specified in Article 1 must be paid at the same time.

Article 3

The fees under Articles 1 and 2 apply to payments made as from 1 November 2015, the date of entry into force of the validation agreement signed between the government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Patent Organisation.

Article 4

This decision enters into force on 1 November 2015.
