New fee rates
The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC) has informed us that some patent fees have been changed.[ 1 ]
Applicants for and proprietors of European patents validated in Morocco are advised that from 1 October 2017 the following rates apply:
1. Publication of the claims of the validated European patent application: MAD 1 200. A reduction is available for certain proprietor categories and/or for those using the online procedure.

3. Registering transfers, licences and other rights in the national patent Register:
- MAD 480 per deed (maximum: MAD 12 000) for recording a change of name, address or legal form
- MAD 960 per deed (maximum: MAD 24 000) for recording the transfer or deletion of rights.
A reduction is available for certain proprietor categories and/or for those using the online procedure.
