The European Patent Office (EPO) and the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) announced on 27 April 2017 their intention to launch a comprehensive Patent Prosecution Highway pilot programme.
In accordance with Article 11(1) of the Regulation on the European qualifying examination (REE) and Rule 28 of the implementing provisions to the Regulation on the European qualifying examination (IPREE), candidates intending to enrol for the European qualifying examination (EQE) for the first time must register once they have commenced their professional activity within the meaning of Article 11(2) REE.
Having regard to the agreement signed on 3 July 2014 between the government of the Republic of Tunisia and the European Patent Organisation on validation of European patents,
1. Article 115 EPC enables third parties to present observations concerning the patentability of the invention to which a European patent application or patent relates. There are no fees for presenting such observations.
